Pleasant Grove, Utah – July 17, 2017 – doTERRA was recently named one of “America’s Best Employers” by Forbes magazine for a second consecutive year, adding to its prestigious and extensive profile of accolades. According to Forbes, doTERRA is one of only two Utah-based companies to break the top 100, and one of only six Utah-based companies on the midsize employers list.

“doTERRA goes beyond being the top producer and distributor of essential oils and touches the lives of more than 3 million Wellness Advocates and employees worldwide,” said David Stirling, doTERRA founding executive and CEO. “Being named one of America’s Best Employers speaks to the inspiring environment and culture we seek to create every day with our employees, one that is focused on empowerment and enhancing personal development. Our goal is to build a culture that extends far beyond us to reach to every corner of the globe.”

Since its founding in 2008, doTERRA continues to grow rapidly and is now shipping to customers in over 120 countries. doTERRA has nearly 2,000 employees who enjoy amenities like the company’s on-site gym and café at its 383,000 square-foot global corporate headquarters in Pleasant Grove and almost 500 additional international employees. doTERRA provides a wide range of benefits, including matching 401(k), one-week paid paternal leave and eight-week paid maternity leave, nursing lounges and designated parking for new and expectant mothers. doTERRA also offers robust fitness programs for employees, including daily fitness classes, monthly health challenges and regular Fitbit competitions.

The companies on the Forbes list of best midsize employers were chosen based on an independent survey among a sample of nearly 30,000 American employees working for midsize companies or institutions. The survey focused on companies from all industry sectors employing more than 1,000 workers, and was performed by global digital data collection partners who use innovative technology and sampling methods to gain a deeper understanding of consumer opinions and behavior. About the Forbes America's Best Employers List Methodology

Now in its third year, the Forbes ranking of America’s Best Employers is drawn from an online survey of more than 30,000 employees at companies with at least 1,000 people. The survey was conducted with global digital data collection partners who use innovative technology and proven sampling methodologies to facilitate a deep understanding of consumer opinions and behavior. Participation in the survey was voluntary, and respondents were recruited from thousands of sources to maximize reach and representation. The mix of respondents (gender, age, region, and ethnicity) in the sample represents American employees. Each employee surveyed was asked to rank both his own employer and other employers in the same industry sector.
