Sep 9, 2022

doTERRA, the world leader in essential oils, is hosting its annual convention at the Calvin L. Rampton Salt Palace Convention Center and Vivint Smart Home Arena September 14-17, 2022. The company will welcome nearly 10,000 in-person attendees who will generate a direct economic impact of nearly $9.7 million* in the Salt Lake community, with an additional 15,000 individuals purchasing virtual attendance tickets allowing watch parties throughout the world for tens of thousands more to participate.

“We are grateful to welcome so many of our Wellness Advocates and customers to Salt Lake City this year,” said Corey Lindley, doTERRA CEO. “After the last couple of years, we look forward to feeling the power of being together and reconnecting. This year’s convention will celebrate all that we’ve been able to accomplish over the past 14 years—from sourcing pure essential oils to guiding industry-changing science and research. It will also help us lay the foundation for our lofty goal of tripling our impact by 2030. We are grateful to the State of Utah and the City of Salt Lake for annually hosting our event.”

doTERRA’s convention will include the launch of new products, including an innovative system of products focused on metabolic health. Convention attendees will also be educated about the latest developments in essential oil science and research as well as the company’s continued sourcing and philanthropy initiatives. Attendees will also have the opportunity to participate in service opportunities and networking events.

“We are excited to welcome doTERRA and their attendees back to the Salt Palace. It’s a big celebration as they hold their largest in-person convention since COVID,” said Kaitlin Eskelson, president & CEO of Visit Salt Lake. “We love the energy in the building and are grateful for their continued partnership with this community.”

*Total visitor spending figures are based on surveys of convention delegates conducted by the Kem C. Gardner Policy Institute at the Univeristy of Utah. Surveys conducted by the Kem C. Gardner Policy Institute over the last five years indicate the average delegate spends $971 while attending a convention in Salt Lake.
