PLEASANT GROVE, UTAH—NOVEMBER 24, 2020—doTERRA employees and community members showed their gratitude this season by donating to Thanksgiving’s Heroes, a national non-profit with a simple mission to feed families in need of a Thanksgiving meal. The doTERRA Healing Hands Foundation then more than double matched the donations for a total of $27,000 for those in need. In addition to offering monetary support, participants also had the opportunity to nominate a family in need and volunteer time to deliver food to the families selected.

“Our goal at Thanksgiving’s Heroes is no hungry kids during the holidays,” said Rob Adams, founder of Thanksgiving’s Heroes. “Through the funds raised by doTERRA, we fed 337 people, in addition to the thousands more we supported this Thanksgiving. Local families serving local families is the secret sauce here, and every bit counts.”

In Utah, there are over 511,000 people facing food insecurity, including one in five children. Approximately 32% of children in the state are enrolled in free or reduced lunch programs at school. This means that many of those children would have gone without food over the Thanksgiving break.
