With schools shuttered due to the COVID-19 pandemic, many girls in southern Kenya were isolated from the health management support and resources that they so desperately needed. Recognizing this need, Days for Girls—a non-profit organization that increases access to menstrual care and education—hosted a series of trainings at doTERRA’s Lunga Lunga facility.

Of her experience, one student said, “Before provision of Days for Girls washable sanitary towels, I experienced challenges during my menstruation as my parents were not able to provide enough disposal sanitary towels given its high cost. In addition, I used to wash my undergarments, press it using a towel and wear it again. I have only one proper undergarment, which is essential for me to wear during my period. I want to thank Days for Girls and doTERRA for coming to my rescue by providing additional undergarments and a more sustainable way of managing my menstruation.”
