doTERRA Partners with the Matt Bushman Foundation
Shortly before doTERRA employee and former BYU volleyball star, Emily Bushman, was due to give birth to her first child, her husband—BYU tight end Matt Bushman—ruptured his Achilles tendon during training. In a moment, their dreams for a successful senior season with BYU Football were turned upside down. In the months that have followed his injury, Matt underwent surgery, became a father, started rehab to prepare for the upcoming NFL draft, and launched a charitable foundation. The Matt Bushman Foundation is seeking to change the game of youth athletics by providing sports opportunities for youth in need. Whether it is covering admittance fees or providing sports equipment and jerseys, the Matt Bushman Foundation wants to give underprivileged youth the opportunity to participate in sports.
In order to support the new foundation, and as a nod to Emily’s athletic career, doTERRA is donating $100 to the Matt Bushman Foundation for every ace that the women’s volleyball team has this season. “We feel very grateful to have doTERRA and BYU as partners of the Matt Bushman Foundation,” said Matt and Emily. “It is through generous companies and people that we can make a difference in the lives of youth in our communities. We are excited to help these kids develop through athletic experiences. For anyone interested in contributing, please visit mattbushmanfoundation.com. Thank you so much for your support.”
