Over $2 Million Raised for Specialty Hospital in Somaliland
In the short span of one month and with the help of hardworking and selfless Wellness Advocates, employees, and consumers, the doTERRA Healing Hands Foundation raised $2,264,545 for the Sanaag Specialty Hospital—a one-of-a-kind healthcare facility located in the extremely remote city of Erigavo, Somaliland.
The initial goal was to raise $2 million to enable the hospital to continue to function and grow at its current pace. Since its opening in May 2021, the hospital has provided advanced services and life-changing procedures to thousands of patients. It has given mothers a safe place to deliver their babies under the attentive care of skilled medical professionals from their own community, provided surgical services, and integrated access to basic healthcare, which was previously limited in the region.
The monumental success of this fundraiser is only a glimpse into doTERRA’s commitment to give back to essential oil sourcing communities around the world.
