Thousands of Mothers and Babies Receive Additional Resources in South Africa
After 18 years of operation and growth, Healthy Mom and Baby Clinic (HMBC)—a non-profit organization committed to improving the lives of mothers and babies in South African communities—is expanding their facility and services with help from a doTERRA Wellness Advocate and the doTERRA Healing Hands Foundation.
HMBC currently offers professional healthcare, education, and support by providing multiple reproductive health services for more than 1,000 women and babies each month. Their main services include:
• Pregnancy care and ultrasound scanning,
• Education and support for all children,
including teenagers,
• Doula services and non-medical birth
support during labor,
• Childcare for up to 5 years, and
• Various health screenings for women.
Thanks to funds raised through a doTERRA Healing Hands Foundation Match Project, HMBC will be able to expand with a new midwifery and postnatal area, thus providing families, especially disadvantaged families, with easier access to professional healthcare.
