For several years, doTERRA employees have visited senior care facilities in Utah County to connect with residents one-on-one. At the outset of COVID-19, those care facilities implemented social distancing measures to protect residents and healthcare workers. In order to continue giving back, doTERRA began a Pen Pal initiative to continue serving our local senior community.
A booth was set up on campus where employees could write an encouraging letter and have their picture taken. Over 160 letters and pictures were then delivered to three senior care facilities throughout Utah County. This initiative helped senior residents feel connected and appreciated at a time when visitors were unable to meet with them face-to-face. It also helped doTERRA employees feel engaged with their community.
