Not only is Mitchell known for his athletic achievements, but also known as a force for good in keeping the earth healthy as he promotes sustainability with every opportunity he gets. Both his partnership with doTERRA and his personal foundation, Seven Crossings Project, highlight this passion he has for sustainability.
What is the Seven Crossings Project? Mitchell paddled the seven crossings of the eight Channel Islands just off the California coastline to celebrate and highlight the research, education, and solutions being made towards achieving a more sustainable world. This not only was a physical and mental feat (paddling more than 150 miles), but it raised awareness of the oceans and of the conscious choices humans should be making every day to help sustain all life.
On Earth Day 2020 Jamie Mitchell posted on Instagram saying, “I think there has never been a time in which we should be so grateful and concerned about mother earth at the same time.” Following that, he notes that humans are not perfect, but that each of us can do “our small part in keeping our earth happy and healthy.”
Along with Mitchell, doTERRA believes in sustainability and has recently made large steps towards achieving sustainable solutions. From building the doTERRA Campus using primarily recycled sources to replacing bubble wrap and initiating new shipping boxes, doTERRA is committed to being faithful stewards of the earth with other like-minded individuals and companies like Jamie Mitchell.
